Our step-by-step swimming program is designed for both new learners and those looking to refine their strokes and swimming technique. We use a unique approach that incorporates visual, kinaesthetic, and auditory learning to teach basic swimming shapes. These shapes are then repeated to help improve swimming style and technique.
Our Program
We begin with the Breaststroke, widely regarded as the most graceful and easiest swimming stroke to learn. Many of our learners start swimming with the Breaststroke after their first session, though results can vary depending on the individual. Everyone progresses at their own pace, and we carefully assess each learner to ensure they are on the right path.
What We Teach:
- Orientation: Learning how to walk around and become familiar with the aquatic environment.
- Floatation: Using your body as a buoy to float and move across the water.
- Breath Control: Mastering the technique of breathing through your mouth while swimming.
- Head Submersion: Overcoming the fear of putting your head under water, addressing personal fears and past traumas. We work on each individual’s needs to help them feel confident and comfortable.
Our Methodology:
- Learn the Shapes: Our secret sauce! These are key to building a solid foundation for swimming.
- Perfect the Shapes: Once the basics are learned, we refine and perfect the swimming shapes.
- Add the Hands: Bring in the hand movements to complement the body shapes, engaging the wings and taking flight.
- Perfect Hand Shapes: Fine-tuning your hand movements for maximum efficiency.
- Combine the Shapes: Bring everything together, and you’re off to swim with confidence!
